After a back-to-back battle against UK, the Raiders close out the first half of the season with determination to swing hard in the 2nd half. Head Coach, Bob Heine shared his thoughts on how the team has progressed thus far:
"The first half of the season was definitely a transition period for the program, with the introduction of a new coaching staff and system of play. While the overall win/loss record may not reflect the progress we have achieved as a team, I am quite pleased with how we have been able to establish a very solid foundation for the long term future of the program, and I am also very proud of how our players reacted to the multitude of injuries and other adverse situations that were encountered over the last few months."
Heine says, "Our players have used these experiences to bond closer as a team and to grow as individuals. With the lessons we have learned, I expect great things from our squad heading into 2015."
No truer words have been spoken.
Here's looking forward to a successful 2nd half!
